"Home MEch": Painting, Plumbing, Wiring & More!

In this Home Mechanics workshop, learn how to paint, hang pictures, caulk a tub, install a faucet, clean a drain, replace a switch and repair a lamp! Find out how toilets work & what to do when they don't. Learn how to fix a leaky hose, a squeaky door, or a drafty window. Discover the difference between a wire nut, a hex nut, and a nut driver. Learn who invented the Phillips screwdriver, the Allen wrench, and the monkey wrench!
Over the series of four sessions, participants will work with hand tools & power tools, wood, wire, wall board, plastic, paint, glue, caulking, sand paper, wire & electrical equipment. They'll make things and learn how to solve common household maintenance problems.
Everyone who owns a home needs to know how to do home maintenance. This entertaining and informative series will help you discover your inner Home Maintenance Ninja!

3D Printer Open Making

Ever wanted to use a 3D printer, but don't own or have access to one? Join us for 3D Printer Open Making to 3D print your own projects during the program. It doesn't matter if you know how to design or how a 3D printer works, staff will help all skill levels to 3D print projects. With 3D Printer Open Making, we hope to ignite the maker within! To get a head start, check out www.thingiverse.com for 3D printable projects. *Bring your own laptop and or flash drive to save your design work.
