3D Printer Certification Workshop

Heard about 3D printers but never had access to one?  No worries, become certified to run Brownsburg Public Library’s 3D Printers!  Participants will learn how to safely operate and maintain these 3D printers, how to print a 3D model (STL file) and how to master basic concepts of 3D printing using 1st Maker Space STEAM Engine 3D printers.   Participants will walk away with a certification card that allows full access to the library’s 3D printers.  Course includes demonstrations and guided practice activities.  Min 5/Max 10. Software and Services Used:  Repetier-Host, Slic3r, Netfabb Basic, Thingiverse

Girls-Only Lock-IN: Fairytale Science

Make ice crystals, design an escape route for Rapunzel, build a raft for the billy goats, and create your very own fairytale bling! Come dressed as your favorite fairytale character for even more fun. Pizza, drinks, and snacks provided. Min 15/Max 30
